Basic Mommy Algebra

The number of children a mother has is directly proportional to the number of days between showers.

It's unfortunate that personal hygiene has to take a backseat to taking care of my munchkins, but somethings gotta give. What have you given up?

I have given up make-up and doing my hair! I usually just pull back my hair wet and the only "make-up" I put on (unless I'm going out on a date or to church) is moisturizer. Unless I have somewhere to go I take a shower every other day. I've also given up warm food. LOL

By the time I had number four, I decided personal hygiene was better than the state of my house. So I let the baby cry in the swing and the other kids destroy the house while I take a shower. So I get my shower, but I usually get out to find crackers scattered all over the kitchen, something spilled on the carpet, or world war III going on between the older kids. Oh, well.

I have worn a ponytail for the last 14 years... hows that?

When I do get to shower, there is almost always a little person in there with me pointing out all sorts of things I would rather ignore!
