Baby Shower!
I'm putting on a fun baby shower for my SIL Jessica next Saturday and was wondering if any of you had some fun game ideas! I haven't been to a baby shower in a LONG time and seriously can't think of anything fun that won't embarass Jessica too much (she's not fond of too much public attention). Please let me know if you know of anything!! :D Thanks!!

I have lots and will call you Monday or later on this evening and can give you some games to play. The invitation you made is darling. I am so sad that I wont be able to make it because my mother in law will be flying in from Alaska and then were going to Tucson Saturday at a ranch. I have gift for Jessica so I will give it to Lachelle. I am bummed that I will miss it because I am sure it will be fun and I would love to see you too.
My all time favorite game is one that is great for come and go showers... it doesn't trap anyone there.
I don't know what it is called. But you melt different candy bars into diapers. People have to smell, look (some even taste) the diapers to try to guess which candy bar it is. The one who guesses the most right, wins a prize.
It is hillarious because the candy bars really look like poop... some more than others. I think butterfinger is a good one -- and snickers.
Kind of gross but people really get a kick out of it. I have pictures from my baby shower with people holding the diaper to their face, confused expressions. You can't tell from the picture that they are only candy bars, so it is pretty funny.
Good luck!
I have done the diaper one and it is GREAT. Lots of fun. Also, you can do a twist on the memorizing one. You pass around the tray of baby items for everyone to memorize. But...you have whoever is carrying the tray put on extra jewlery and pins and things (nothing too obvious but noticable). When you take the tray, and the person, out of the room, you ask everyone what the person who was carrying the tray was wearing. Everyone spent so much time memorizing the tray that they are totally thrown off. This will help so that you don't have as many winners too! If this is confusing, let me know and i will call you and give you details!
Also, I went to one where they handed everyone out a piece of paper with a picture of something baby-ish (like a diaper, baby dress, socks, bottle)on it. You instruct them ahead of time not to look at the picture. When it is each persons turn they hold the card up for everyone else to see and then you play 20 questions to have the person who is "it" guesses the picture. There are no "winner's" but everyone has a good time. You could even make a stack and have just the mom to be do the guessing but I thought it was more fun when everyone did it!
Good luck and let me know how it goes.

I;m sad that I couldn't go. You'll have to call me and tell me about it when you get a chance.
