11.13.08

Well, it's nearing 6am and I've been up since about 2am. Insomnia sucks. I'd much rather be in bed asleep, but laying there staring at the ceiling seemed so unproductive. So I gave my Pennies blog a face lift. :)

Tomorrow (today), I go to see the OB again. I got the results back from my perinatologist and it looks like we're having another super healthy perfect baby. :) We still don't know what we're having, but we don't expect to find out for another month or so. The Peri added a few things to my list of drugs to take, here's the lowdown... a low-dose asprin, B6 & B12 vitamins, additional folic acid (I don't produce enough), as well as the usual prenatal vitamin...oh, and then keep giving myself shots everyday. Man alive. But it's all worth it in the end...right?!? ;)

So we've been talking with our realtor a lot the past few days because we have gotten the final approval for the sale of our house. The first buyers backed out, but thankfully we had a second offer already set up, which is a cash offer. They want to close escrow sometime next week, and since we're going on vacation the end of next week, that means that we might have THIS weekend to move! OH CRAP. I've been doing some packing, thankfully, but I won't be much help lifting, loading or unloading things. If we do have to move this weekend, thankfully my dad is willing to come over & help out. I'm sure I could make some phone calls to people in my ward as well that would be willing to come & help us. Have I mentioned that we have a super fantastic ward here? I'm going to miss everyone something awful. I made the call to my RS and told them that we're moving sooner than I expected and that I won't be able to teach RS anymore... WAAA, so sad. I'm super bummed. But I'm sure the Lord has some great things in store for us back in Tolleson...just not sure what. :)

So anyways, after my doc appt., we're going over to the Tolleson house to clean it up. It's been sitting empty for the past 6 weeks, so we just need to do some touching up before I feel like it's move-in ready. Here's some things about moving back to Tolleson...

BAD:
Leaving my BFF Kara. Seriously. :'(
Leaving my ward & all the great friends I've made.
Pulling Alex out of school & starting another one. Ok, this might not be so bad for him, but I'm nervous - I really like his teacher now.
Leaving my single story house.
Living with lots of stairs again.
1 car garage (I know, what the heck?!)
Unpacking

GOOD:
I get to have 4 bedrooms again.
Fry's, CVS and Walgreens are all within a few miles of me.
Alex's elementary school is just around the corner from the house, about a 60 second walk.
I'll be closer to my baby doctors.
I did love the pediatrician for the kids out there, and it's close too.
There's some fun shopping out there (Hobby Lobby, Old Navy...) and some good eats.
The neighborhood has sidewalks & street lights (none here!)
Even in ghetto Tolleson, no one ever stole anything from us; here someone jacked Alex's hummer. Jerks.
Did I mention 4 bedrooms?
No more stainless steel, YAY!
No more cream colored carpet, YAY!

Ok, I seriously need to nap before I have to get up soon. Maybe I can sleep on the 2 hour car ride to my doctor. Blah, I know. Until next time!

I'm going to miss you guys-- I'm not even sure I'll see you before you're out of here, but I will keep checking in on your blog to see how you are doing. Still, I'm happy for the good things on your list!
