Star Student of the Week!!

Horray for Alex!

His teacher chose him to be their Kindergarten Star of the Week! He was so excited all weekend long and could barely wait to get back to school! During this week, he gets to have this poster that he and I put together displayed in their classroom for the entire week, he gets to choose his favorite book & read it to his class tomorrow, take something for show & tell on Thursday, and then on Friday his class is going to make a little book about how much of a Star he is! And as if that wasn't enough, he gets to be the line leader all week long! :)

I told him that as soon as we took the picture he could put his favorite stickers all over it

- hence the "hurry up mom!" expression on his face.

When I walked him to the playground this morning, he was telling everyone that he was the Star Student this week and that they weren't... we had to have a little talk about not hurting his friends' feelings & about humility. But really, what 5 year old wants a lecture on humility?

After all, he is the line leader...

We're very very proud of the great student that he's becoming. He's already finished all of his homework for this week. Good thing I found some fun workbooks on clearance at Target!
