Today

I know that I'm not the only mom around that's tired, but man alive, being the wife, mother, chaufer, cook, maid, laundress, psychologist, teacher, pest control, accountant...just to name a few, is wearing me out! I get up around 7:30am to get Alex up, fed and ready for school. This morning, for instance, after I took him to school, rant to Fry's where I got some free food & cheap toothbrushes, then I came home, pulled weeds and then cleaned and vacuumed out my van. And then a friend of mine called and we went and got our hair cut (Thank you Leslie, I LOVE it!). Tony and Emma were home, still asleep. After that, I came home around 12:30pm, cleaned up more of my house, did some bills, sprayed some bug spray around the house while Emma napped, and then was able to sit down for a few minutes, until it was time to go & pick up Alex from school. After we got home, Alex had a melt down, Emma poo'd and I began crashing. I got Alex to settle down, I made him a snack, got him to sit down & do his homework (which he LOVES to do - yesterday, he finished his weeks worth in about 10 minutes, so his teacher is now sending home 1st grade homework to challenge him a little more) and then I made dinner. We ate, I cleaned up and then the kids and I played some Go Fish together (I made the cards to review sight words, number and color words with Alex). After a few rounds of that, it was time to to do our nighttime ritual of cleaning up, baths, teeth brushing, reading, praying, and then after I get both kids in bed (around 8pm), I start the laundry. And then of course Emma didn't feel like sleeping and was screaming bloody murder. So I got her out of her crib, fed her a snack & milk and then put her back in bed, where she finally conked out. At this point I'm about to fall over from exhaustion, but instead, I resort to taking a nice shower. And then here I am...it's almost 11pm and I just got off the phone with my DH (DH = dear husband, delicious husband, dang husband, dummy husband, whichever one applies) who's headed home. He'll be home in about an hour, and we probably won't get to sleep until around 1am. And then I'll wake up a couple of times in the middle of the night to check on the kids and empty my bladder...and then do it all over again at 7:30am. It's no wonder I'm worn out all the time! Now don't get me wrong...I'm not complaining about my job(s), just the fact that at the end of the day, I'm spent. As I chug along, I simply remind myself that all of this, my super fabulous life, is a sweet blessing...and that I just need to...

How was your day?

LOL (at the flashing sign at the bottom of this post). I hear ya sister, although I don't think I'm quite so frazzled as you. I can see two is much harder work than one but I'm still hoping to get the chance to experience it myself. And by the way, they didn't have Krud Kutter @ the Walmart in my area. If you let me know how much it is and how much it would be for you to send it to me I'll pay you!!!!!

First I have to say thank you because Aunt Janet uses DH all the time and I have wondered A LOT what it means. I even asked her once and never got a response. Her husbands name is Darrin so I thought it had something to do with him. The light has now gone on and I will be able to sleep better knowing what it stands for!
Second, I have to say...ditto! When I sit down and think about all that I actually do in a day it really never surprises me that I'm exhaused!!
