More Cereal ! ? !

Yesterday, mostly because I was bored, Emma and I went shopping! I try to take my coupons with me whereever I go, just leaving them in my van, in case I run across one of those "MUST-DO" deals.

I'm so super sorry that I didn't post this before the sale ended at Fry's, but there's some good things going on at Fry's this week that I will try to post onto the Bargain Moms blog tomorrow so that you will have plenty of time to take advantage of them!

In this Sunday's newspaper came the Kellogg TASTE insert - which had coupons for Kellogg's stuff in it. Here's what I did at Fry's...

Last weeks Fry's sale - Buy 10 boxes of cereal for $1.50 each (select varieties), take $5.00 off at the register!

I bought 6 boxes of Mini Wheaties & 4 boxes of Raisin Bran.

10 boxes of cereal at $1.50 each = $15.00
I used: 5 - $1.00 off 2 boxes coupons (specific to the brands I bought)
$15.00 - $5.00 in coupons - $5.00 that they took off because I bought 10 boxes =10 boxes of cereal for $5.00!!!!

ALSO - in the Kellogg TASTE insert that came in the newspaper, there was a $10.00 MIR (mail-in rebate) if you buy 10 participating Kellogg items at the same time.

So not only did I only pay $0.50 for each box of cereal, I will also get $10.00 back! :)

At Walgreens, they're having a Kellogg brand sale; if you buy 4 for $10.00, you get a $5.00 RR (register reward, coupon that prints out near the register after you buy your stuf).

I bought 4 boxes of Nutri-Grain bars@ 4 for $10.00
2 - $1.00 off 2 boxes coupons
1 - $5.00 register reward for this diaper deal that I did a couple of weeks ago
- - - I paid $3.00 for all 4 boxes AND got my $5.00 register reward!

Then I handed the girl 4 boxes of cereal (2 Fruit Loops, 2 Frosted Flakes) :)
again...4 for $10.00
2 - $1.00 off 2 boxes coupons
1 - $5.00 register reward that I just got from the Nutri-Grain bars...
- - - I paid $3.00 for all 4 boxes...BUT, because I used coupons on this transaction, I didn't get another $5.00 RR, but I was OK with that.

TOTAL DAMAGE: 14 boxes of YUMMY cereal & 4 boxes of Nurti-Grain bars = $11.00

PLUS, I will still get $$$ back from my $10.00 MIR!! So basically I paid $1.00 for it all. HORRAY!

When I was putting all of this cereal away, I counted how many boxes of cereal I have... no laughing! I have......................49 boxes. YES, I HAVE 49! FOURTY NINE BOXES OF CEREAL !!! I admit if, I have a problem. HA! If nothing else, at least we can eat cereal if we have to! And good yummy cereal at that! :D
