Starting Over

The time had come... After about 3 months of playing the CVS game, I exhausted just about all of my ECB's (Extra Care Bucks, CVS money) and needed to aquire more to work more deals with. Last night I went to CVS to work up some deals and this is what I bought and got:

2 CVS plastic tampons, 5 ct. - $2.98 ($1.49 each)
2 SURE deodorant - $5.78 ($2.89 each)
2 Revlon headbands - $9.98 ($4.99 each)
1 BIC Soleil Razor - $6.99
1 BIC Soleil razor cartridge, 4 pk. - $6.99
1 Physician's Formula mascara - $7.99
1 Right Guard clinical deodorant - $6.99
1 CVS vitamin E oil - $2.10
(for our sunburns, which will be explained in my next post!)

Total before tax: $49.80

Coupons used:
Physician's Formula - $1.00
CVS skin care - $2.00 (for the Vitamin E)
BIC Soleil razor - $4.00
BIC Soleil cartridges - $4.00
SURE deodorant - Buy 1, get 1 free ($2.89)
and I used the last of my ECB's...$1.98 & $6.00

Total after coupons: $27.93
+ $3.21 tax, I paid $31.14 out of pocket

BUT

I got back these ECB's to use towards future purchases:
$3 for the SURE deodorant
$5 for the Revlon headbands
$2.98 for the CVS tampons
$5.00 for the Right Guard deodorant
$7.99 for the Physician's Formula mascara
$5.00 for the BIC Soleil products

Sure, I paid $31.14 out of pocket, but they gave me $28.97 back!
Which in the CVS world means that I only gave them $2.17 for all of that stuff!!

I LOVE CVS!
