Disturbed

Yesterday, our realtor was over at our house to take pictures of our home. While we were in the backyard, we noticed that something wasn't right but we couldn't put our finger on it. After a minute, Tony said "Hey, where's Alex's Hummer?" ?!? Someone actually came into our backyard and stole his Hummer!! We bought him the hummer about a year & a half go for Christmas. The weird part is that the hummer didn't have the battery in it (it had been dead for months because we couldn't find the charger for it after we moved), so whoever took his hummer would to have had to drag it from our backyard and drag it all the way to their house! And it was no light hummer, at least 60 lbs.!! And as you can tell, this isn't a little pocket-sized hummer that a parent might not notice was sitting in their yard or garage! What kind of person steals a little boys hummer?! The only thing that we can think of is that because our home backs up to a golf course we only have a wrought iron gate, not a block fence, and someone walked by and checked out what we had back there and thought that it would be OK for them to take.

I'm simply disgusted. I'm not mad, well, not really mad. Yes, we paid about $200.00 for his Hummer, but it's more that I'm diappointed at society and at whomever thought it acceptable to come into our backyard and take off with a little boys toy. I'm saddened that this type of terrible behavior is going on around us.

Moral of the story: Lock all of your doors and gates because you don't know what kind of creep is looking into your home to see what they can steal from little children.

So, so sad. I am going to start being better about closing our gate-terrible what people will do.

I am so sorry. I remember when you guys got that car. What a horrible thing to happen. I hope you reported it to the association and complained about not being able to cover your back fence.

I am so sorry that Alex has to see that at such a young age. Aweful.
