Got Cereal?

If you haven't already, you REALLY need to check out the Bargain Moms Blog. My friend Deanna and her pals do a great job of keeping track of local deals, which coupons correspond to those deals and other great ways to save money. So on my lunch break today, this is what I did...

I bought:
12 boxes of Cheerios (berry burst, honey nut & fruity)
8 boxes of Chex (chocolate & strawberry)
8 boxes of Fiber One bars (Oats & Chocolate & Oats & Peanut Butter, mmmm)
$ GRAND TOTAL: $4.60

Thanks to the Fry's deals & my super coupons, I only spent $4.60 on all of this great stuff!! (Ignore the toothpaste in the pic, I messed up my pricing on it, so I'm taking it back.)

I messed the first time I went; I didn't notice that the cashier rang up all 8 of my Fiber One bars at once. Don't get me wrong, I still did pretty good. I paid $4.40 for all 8 of them, but if I had rang up only 4 at a time, instead of all 8 at a time, with my coupons I could have gotten them all FREE! I went back to Fry's and explained to the manager that I meant to do 2 seperate transactions instead of just 1, so she gave me back $4.00, therefore, I got all 8 boxes for $0.40 cents!! :D Thank you Fry's, for being patient with me!

Lesson learned: PAY ATTENTION! But I'm a beginner and I forgive myself :) I think my cashier was a beginner too, I think he was doubling coupons that he shouldn't have. Oops!

I'll be going back later this week to buy some of the Nature Valley granola bars that they also have on sale. The yogurt ones look yummy! UPDATE: I went back and bought my granola bars and only paid $0.31 cents for each box (I got 8 boxes)! Horray!!!

You rock Connie! Somehow you guys are able to get WAY better deals at Fry's in AZ than we are able to get at Kroger in Alabama, even though they are the same company! Do you know how lucky you are?!

They always double internet coupons, even when they say "DO NOT DOUBLE" on them. The RARE times that they don't are when the cashiers are real hose-beasts. They even take expired coupons sometimes. If you tell them that it wasn't supposed to be doubled, they say it doesn't matter and keep movin' on so don't feel bad!

Way to go!!! Isn't it a rush?!
