My sweet baby boy is now in FIRST GRADE! I can hardly believe it. There weren't tears this year as I sent him off to school. A little sadness, but just a little. He was so ready to get back to his friends and I was excited to get back into a steady routine. I love routines. Here he is, my big boy.
He bought home his first homework packet today and I have to say...it's totally ridiculous. One of the sheets seriously had him write the numbers 1-20. Another had him count objects that were from 11-20. All stuff that he's been doing for at least 2 years now. He finished his weeks worth in about 5 minutes. I'm going to go in and talk to his teacher in the morning and see if she's able to kick his homework up a notch. I'll let you know how it goes!

Oh gosh-even Jakson could do that homework!! Hope they are giving him something a little more difficult now!
Miss you guys!!
How in the world is it possible for us to have 1st graders. Weren't we just teaching them to walk and talk? We wish Alex the very best.
