I was born in Flagstaff, AZ...in February. Ick. That's probably why I despise the severe cold. My Alex was born at 5:53pm, isn't that funny? Probably only funny to me. Today has been a good day thus far, spending time with my 3 favorite people ever. Alex and Emma wrote in a sweet card for me and got me some nice bubble bath, which I'm sure they picked out because they know I'll share with them. Tony told me save some of it for later - whatever that means. I am much too big to be taking a bath these days...I might not make it out. Tony made me up some "favor coupons" which are really cute - but I think I'll hold onto most of them, like the back rubs & foot rubs, until after this baby girl is born. Smart, eh?! :) They don't have expiration dates on them, so I can if I want.
I've kept Alex home from school today because the kids and I are driving into town today to attend a funeral service for an old friend of mine's newborn baby that passed away a few days ago. He was born with some severe heart problems and a lot escalated since. I feel absolutely terrible for her and her family, but they have a strong testimony and knowledge of the Plan of Salvation, which makes all the difference when you lose someone you love dearly. I'm glad that I can attend today and give her my support.
I think we might meet up with my dad, bro and his wife later on for an early dinner. I hate spending my birthday without my mom...I miss her. I still have birthday cards that she gave me from years past that I put out and look at, they seem to help me feel a little better.
I'm not really sure how I feel about being into my 30's now...before I was just 30 years old, but now I'm officially 31. Isn't that old? My dad says I've passed him up, as he's still 29. HA. My hubby's 27 and reminds me that I'm old often. I remind him that I look younger than he does. hahaha Thanks for the fabulous skin, Mom! hehehe I think it'll be a great birthday. I'll write more about it later :)
