Thank you insurance!

Last week when I went to my OB appointment, he gave me a prescription for Lovenox, which is a blood thinner that I have to take daily, via self-injection. I gave myself these same injections late in my pregnancy with Emma, it's really not as terrible as it sounds.

Anyways, I went to Walgreens today to pick up my medicine, then the girl told me that my one month supply of Lovenox was going to cost me $30.00. THIRTY dollars? I don't have $30.00! So I started to cry ... no, I didn't, but I wanted to. After handing over the money, I took a look at the receipt attached to my bag of medicine, which read:

Your insurance saved you: $1,022.99

So thankful for good insurance or else this baby and I would have some serious issues!! :)

Holy crap, Batman! A thousand bucks for a prescription? What, are they having you inject liquid diamonds? I would have to agree, God bless insurance (sometimes). BTW, that was sweet of you to say I don't look a day over 30 but didn't your momma teach you not to lie to your elders? LOL

I know exactly how you feel. I get so frustrated with the price of medication but seeing the big picture was a GREAT way to deal with it!! A positive outlook can go a long way!
