My 3 a.m.

Around 3am this morning, I was wide awake and couldn't fall asleep again for the life of me.
I've been plagued with pregnancy insomnia.
I laid there thinking about a yummy nacho cheese recipe that I really want to make to take to a party Saturday night.
But then I was thinking about it and can't really remember what all goes in it...
Then I thought that I should call my mom.
Oh no, she died.
Sometimes I forget.
I should call Grandma.
Oh no, she died too.
My family's becoming extinct.
Tony doesn't have much hope that I'll live another 20 years.
Look at my family history.
That sucks.
We need some serious life insurance on me.
And more on Tony.
Another officer was killed by yet another illegal dirty mexican.
I can't tell you how disgusted I am.
And a little scared.
I told Tony that if I die, he needs to find a cute LDS girl ASAP to raise my cute kids.
He can't do it alone, he'd have a mental breakdown.
And my kids deserve a good mom, like me.
Any post-Connie wife referrals would be appreciated.
And any nacho cheese recipies.

Connie, I love your good, honest humor! Well, I've got a hubby, but I'd be glad to help out with/adopt your cute kids...especially if this next one is a boy too....we would love us some more testosterone in our household!

GET SOME REST!

XOXOXO

As I was reading I kept thinking I would see that this was posted at 4am, but it looks like you were able to go back to sleep maybe (I hope!). I wouldn't mind your kids either-seriously how much fun would Emma and Megan have. And Alex could teach Courtney so much...in fact, when can you move up here? Then I would get them and you (oh, yeah, and Tony too!). The nachos sound yummy!
Love ya, sweetie!

Can't help ya w/ the post-Connie recommendations. My best advice is to take care of you... so you don't go anywhere anytime soon! (and record family history- and make a recipe book of YOUR favorite recipes.) So your kids can have that as a family heirloom when you pass away peacefully in your sleep at age 99 1/2. :)

I dont have a great nacho cheese recipe, other than velvetta cheese with your favorite salsa. I do have a very yummy bean dip recipe though! 1 cube of philidelphia cream cheese and your favorite stagg chili, microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds, stir and serve.

I get thoughts like this all the time. What would happen type thoughts. Don't loose hope. Knowing your family history arms you with knowlege to overcome and if I remember correctly your grandma wasn't young!

As for your kids, trust me, we would make sure Tony married well and that she loved your kids. And if not, then we would totally take them in!! You can never have too many beautiful children!

Hey Connie, I just wanted to say thank you again for dinner Saturday (totally off subject of your post) and that I hope you don't mind if I visit your blog...as for the preg insomnia, I've had some of the same bouts-- wondering what would happen to Terence if something happened to me--and yeah, after a couple of officer fatalities in a couple of weeks, I wondered if we had enough life insurance on him!

You crack me up Con. I totally feel for you on the staying awake thinking about things to eat. I don't feel the wanting your husband to re-marry thing. I'm too jealous for that.

Ha Ha, you're hilarious. Good luck with the sleep. I don't understand how when you need sleep so much when you're pregnant but it's so hard to get it. Even withou other kids. Love you.

i love reading you blog. :) sorry about the insomnia. As if you won't lose enough sleep AFTER the baby...! And there does seem to be a lot of police officers being shot at these days. Jimmy keeps thinking about going back (to real police work) and I keep thinking. hmmm. i'm not sure that's such a fantastic idea.

Oh Connie! I have those nights where my thoughts escalate to other thoughts and I almost give myself an ulcer. If you want info on how to approach life insurance, my hubby sells it. He can give you some ideas on the cost and different types of life insurance that might fit your needs.

My hubby was roommates with the police officer that was killed. It broke my hubby's heart. Very sad :(
