My dad came over today to visit, and while he was playing with the kids, I jumped online and checked out which deals I really should take advantage of this week. I mean, I pay to get 3 newspapers delivered every Sunday, so I should use the coupons as wisely as possible, right?!
I spent no more than 1/2 hour researching the deals, finding my coupons, clipping them, getting dressed (i.e. looking human), and prepping the kids to head out the door. Seriously people, if you want to do coupons, it's well worth your time. There's a ton of people out there that do the hard part for you, and you just have to look up their blogs when you want to go shopping!

First we hit up Fry's...
11 - 4 packs of Cottonelle toilet paper
On sale for $0.99
- I had a $0.50 coupon and Fry's doubled it up to $0.99, making it all FREE.
11 - Betty Crocker cheddar & sour cream potato pouches
On sale for $1.00
- I used $0.35 and $0.40 cent coupons :: Fry's is TRIPLING coupons right now up to $1.00, so again, these were FREE!
I just had to pay the sales tax, which came to $0.37 cents.
Then we went across the street to Walgreens...
5 - Crest regular toothpaste
5 - Oral-B Indicator toothbrushes
Both were on sale for $1.99
In the Walgreens October EasySaver Catalog, they have $1.00 coupons for each of these products, which brought them down to $0.99 each.
I also used:
5 - $0.75 off a Oral-B Indicator toothbrush coupons
5 - $1.00 off any Crest toothpaste
I did 5 transactions for these (one toothbrush/toothpaste each time) because the poor register guy was getting so confused with all of the coupons. I should have just told him to step aside & did it myself . . . kidding :) But really. . . I ended up only paying $2.08 for all 10 items.
Today's summary:
11 - 4 packs of Cottonelle toilet paper
11 - Betty Crocker cheddar & sour cream potato pouches
5 - Crest regular toothpaste
5 - Oral-B Indicator toothbrushes
$2.45
Thanks Dad, for entertaining the kids while I thoroughly enjoyed my bargain shopping. :)
