So, did I mention that Tony had to work yesterday? Yes, he was part of a "special task force" and got some OT in! YAY for OT! :D When he finally got home last nite, he seriously came in and fell to the floor, so so exhausted. I was tired too, but just couldn't relax enough to go to bed yet, so I got online and did some "coupon research". I'll tell you, I spent 1 1/2 hours researching websites, which newpapers to find my coupons in, organizing them as to which store I wanted to spend them at. After my back started killing me for sitting on the floor in a wierd position for too long, I went out to the livingroom & read. The BEST EVER monsoon storm hit and I watched it for a good hour. :) Gotta love this time of year!!
Anyways, after I took Alex to school this morning, I went to Walmart. Here's what I bought...
8 - 10 pack disposible Schick razors - 8/24 SS
4 - Well patch pain relievers - 7/13 SS
2 - Visine - August All You magazine
2 - Pert Plus - 8/3 SS
2 - John Frieda mousse 8/24 SS
2 - Kotex pantiliners - August All You magazine
3 - Powerade - 7/13 SS
1 - Prego meat sauce - mail
1 - dress for Emma for next summer
10 gallons of water, we have 2 - 5 gal. jugs
30 - packs of Kool-aid ($0.20 cents each, ouch - I had to buy them to get the next things FREE) all in the August All You magazine
2 - boxes of Nabisco Wheat Thins
2 - Kraft Ranch Dressings
2 - packs Oscar Meyer hot dogs
2 - containers of Crystal Light
2 - packs of Kraft Singles cheese slices
My subtotal for all of it came to almost $78.00. I gulped, felt my stomach start churning and started to pray that with my coupons that all would work out as I had calculated. And it did. Why did I doubt my awesomeness? HA. After all was said and done, my grand total came to:
$8.35 plus $2.62 tax = $10.97
$16.95 /month getting 3 AZ Republic Sunday papers +
1 1/2 hours coupon research +
1 hour roaming around Walmart finding everything =
ONE SUPER AWESOME TRIP TO WALMART!!
The only things I really paid OOP (out of pocket) for was $2.00 for the dress, $2.50 for the water & $6.00 for the Kool-Aid.
Sooooo, who's so proud of me?! Kidding...but really, who wants to get in on it with me??
It's soooo fuuuuuuunnnn! :)
Ohhh, and then I went to Fry's later & got some free toilet paper with the Cottonelle coupon in the 8/24 SS :)
FYI - As you can tell, the ALL YOU magazine (only at Walmart) is an amazing source of coupons! :) I buy 2 each month, and just hang on to them. OH, and if you didn't know, SS stands for Smart Source, the name of the one of the inserts in the Sunday paper. If you want more specifics, just let me know and I'd be happy to let you in on it! :)
