Such is life

At work, a new realtor was hired and has been switching my days on and off a lot and it's driving me crazy! I was called in to work today. Tony (thankfully) came home last night so that he could watch the kids for me this morning. Tony's been staying the night a few nights a week with my brother in Mesa because we honestly can't afford to him drive all the way home from Phoenix every night. So this morning, I was frantically calling every girl in my ward trying to find a sitter for my kids for this afternoon and everyone either had something else that they needed to do or weren't home. (Girls in my ward, please don't feel bad!! It all worked out!) Thankfully, a sweet lady in our ward was able to come to my home and watch the kids while I had to go back to work. Thank you, Sis. Thomas, you're wonderful!

This is the sad part... I have an uncle that lives about 5 minutes from my work and 15 minutes from my house, but I honestly didn't want my kids to go over there for 4 hours. I didn't want to put my sweet kids in a home with so much contention and without the Spirit. That idea just didn't feel right. Actually, I picked up the phone to call my aunt and the Spirit told me very strongly not to take my kids over there. We don't have any other family near us that I could call on last minute. We have so much loving & wonderful family in California and we're stuck down here and sometimes it's really lonely and depressing. We'll just have to endure AZ for a while until we can figure out a way to move to CA, I guess.

On the other hand, tonite I'm going to be putting the final touches on my plans for my coupon class tomorrow for our Relief Society. I'm really wanting it to be fun, but I don't know that it will be. I'm a wee bit nervous. There's so much info and so little time. I only get 30 minutes to share the tricks of the trade. At the last Saturday RS activity, only about 10 girls showed up. I'm hoping that more will go tomorrow, but we'll see. I didn't want to spend a ton of time and effort on my class if only 10 girls were going to show up. But at the same time, I don't want my class to be totally lame if 30 show up, see what I mean? So, I'm preparing for lots of girls and will just have to downplay it a little if only 3 come. I'll report on my class tomorrow :)

I am so sorry we couldn't be there for you. Thank goodness for the church and having people you can call that you know you can trust. Thank you sis.Thomas.

Don't worry about your lesson. You will be GREAT and remember that even if there are only 3 woment there, it will still be worth it because you are helping them.

As far as the actual lesson goes, I am sure you will do wonderful. You have good comic timing and I am sure you will do a wonderful job of making it interesting.

I wish I could be there!! I love you.

I love you too! I can't wait to here about your class...I keep trying to find time to do the things you told me about and it is very exciting for me. I also can't wait for it to work out for you to come here (someday...)...because it would be wonderful to have you close (but I don't really want to live in AZ (sorry!).
Good luck with work, I hope it gets regular again for you!
