Our First Date

Friday, April 16, 2004 was our first date. My mom had already agreed to watch Alex for me. Tony picked me up, I think, around 6pm. We talked about where to go & get some dinner, and ended up at this nice little Mexican restaurant in town.

After dinner, we headed over to a park near my house. To my surprise, Tony had two of our girl friends set up a picnic table, complete with music, candlelight and ice cream. Talk about romantic! The girls were out at their car. They turned on Clay Aiken’s “The Way” (not our first choice of music, but the girls loved Clay) and turned the music up loud enough so that we could hear it at the table. Tony asked me to dance… I was already in love.

After dancing and ice cream, Tony then took me out to a dark spot in the middle of no where that he liked to go “check out the stars” (code for great place to make-out). He wanted to, but no, we didn’t make out there…hahaha.

After that, he took me back home. I invited him in and we watched Twister. After the movie was over, I walked him outside. This is where Tony’s version is different than mine, but this is my blog, so too bad. We walked outside to the sidewalk. We stood there talking for a few minutes, holding hands, and then he kissed me. Tony says that I jumped him and totally made out with him. So not true. I worked way too hard to ruin everything with a crude move like that! Fantastic first date, huh!
