Happily Ever After

In July, Alex and I flew up for the weekend to see Tony. Tony’s family is so wonderful, they threw Alex a little party for his 2nd birthday. That night, Tony’s dad watched Alex as he slept and Tony and I went out on a little date. We went to yet another secluded spot in the middle of no where. Tony blindfolded me and had me listen to our song (that Clay Aiken song). When he took the blindfold off, he had set up a blanket, with candlelight and ice cream, our first date all over again. Then he got down on one knee and told me how much he loved me and how much he wanted the three of us to be a family, and asked me if I would marry him. The spirit was so strong, my eyes swelled with tears. I couldn’t help but stare at him for a few seconds. I got down on my knees, took his hands, looked him in the eyes and told him how much I loved him and that I wanted nothing more than for us to be a family. And that I, of course, would marry him. He took the ring out of the box and put it on left ring finger – my ring is perfect.

In October of that year, Tony moved down here to AZ to be closer to Alex and I. My uncle gave him a job with his company and he moved in with my brother. We didn’t get to see each other everyday, but enough to have at least a semi-normal courtship. We decided to marry exactly one year from our first date, in the Ca., Oakland Temple. It was a beautiful, perfect day. Tony even got he and Alex matching suits for the wedding. How cute is that!
Tony,
you're my hearts desire,
my eternal companion,
the father of our children,
and a very special part of me.
I love you with all my heart.

…and we'll live happily ever after.
